Spirit catcher

Jean Vanesse and Thomas Sohet are amongst Europe's one of the most exciting producers and live acts and have released outstanding tracks and remixes on labels such as Freerange, Winding Road, 2020 vision%u2026 Combining Jean's sound engineer production technique and Thomas's funk keyboard player background, Spirit Catcher have developed a distinct future boogie disco sound, incorporating the black american funk of Herbie Hancock, George Duke, D'train, Zapp, Chic and today's electronic "computer assisted" music. Intensely sophisticated yet raw enough to rock any dancefloor. After what has been undoubtedly massive year for spirit catcher, with almost every DJ currently playing the world circuit having Spirit Catcher productions creeping their way into an evening playlist. As well as a prolific output, Jean and Thomas also have a fierce live show, which, like their album, has its roots in the origins of electronic music, using a classic midi dance music set-up using a mixing desk, effects and live keyboards. Although they are best known for their rocking live shows, Spirit Catcher knows how to do it behind the decks too - as you will hear on their 'Coast to Coast' compilation on NRK.
