Eatbrain League
The Grind
21:30 - 23:00
ft Jade, L33, Agressor Bunx & Mc Coppa.
From the mind of neurofunk pioneer Jade, comes EATBRAIN - a forward thinking imprint standing at the crux of heavy dancefloor rhythms and the razors edge of drum & bass.
Since the label's first release in 2011 (EATBRAIN001: Jade + SOM - 'Here We Go' / 'Audio Hypnosis') Eatbrain has gained widespread recognition as a symbol of quality in drum & bass. Under the creative direction of Jade, who helped define the neurofunk sound from its early stages, the imprint has grown into a movement encompassing a who's-who of drum & bass artists including names like Mindscape, Black Sun Empire, Fourward, State of Mind, Dose, Telekinesis, Mefjus, Neonlight, Rymetyme, Teddy Killerz, and more. With a focus on quality over quantity, Eatbrain has quickly become a trusted source for those seeking the best new sounds and artists in drum & bass. It's through this tastemaker perspective that the label has seen to the release of numerous classics and anthems which have epitomized the ever-growing neurofunk DNB sound. The last few years have also seen the label expand into the live realm, with Jade hosting a string of wildly successful parties under the "Eatbrain Night" banner.
EATBRAIN's conquest shows no signs of slowing down, as the label continues to infect listeners and dancefloors across the globe with its signature sound, exploring new concepts and aural frontiers, and pushing drum & bass forward in the process.
Jade
In 2016 the name JADE is one that has deep respect attached to it in Drum and Bass circles, with his EATBRAIN imprint standing as one of the most highly regarded neurofun labels currently releasing. His belief in the genre saw him starting to put out releases under the Eatbrain name in 2011, forging their specific and highly energetic take on dnb at a time where musical trends were moving in other directions. Forward unto now, and his work has affected the sonic landscape drastically - with Eatbrain events occuring regularly across Europe in both packed clubs and vast festival stages. Jade now stands as the head of one of the strongest identities in dnb, armed with an unrequitable urge to continually evolve and push his sound and the sound of his label into evermore dystopian future territories.
Hungarian-born Simon Gabor started unleashing his aggressive and forward-thinking style upon the world in 2004 with 'GOT LOST' on BSE Recordings with Matt-U, following this up in 2006 with 'BITCH' and a string of releases on Citrus recordings up to his first 'VENOM' LP dropping in 2009. The tracks within including 'NO CURE' and 'VENOM' had an ongoing defining effect on the neurofunk genre, and are regarded as timeless classics essential to the history of dnb. Following the establishment of Eatbrain, he further explored the possibilities of the sound with tracks like 'AUDIO HYPNOSIS' and 'SMASH FACE', but most significantly he started to gather a crew of like-minded producers to release on the label and start the real growth. To date, eatbrain has featured an impressive roster of artists, including fellow collaborator Mindscape, State of Mind, Billain, Teddy Killerz, L 33 and Mefjus just to name a few.
With their STAGE TAKEOVER AT Let It Roil 2015 being the main highlight for a huge number of festival goers, and Jade's production re-emergence with the release of 'RESPIRATOR' in collaboration with State of Mind and 'THEY ARE MUTANTS' featuring on the 'MIRROR UNIVERSE' LP set - the future is a vast place for Jade and his ability to slay any dancefloor with the vision of Eatbrain, Demand continues to soar exponentially for Eatbrain. Demand continues to soar exponentially for Eatbrain with every stunning release, and a huge audience of fans waits tensely for what 2016 will bring.
L33
Over the past few years L 33's intricate production skills have helped place Bulgaria firmly on the D&B world map. His impressive back catalogue has seen releases on highly respected labels such as Program (RAM) Eatbrain, Rise audio, Titan, Citrus and Avantgarde. Supported by the the likes of Andy C, DJ Hype, Dillinja & many more, this 20 year old is a producer to look out for. There's so much more to come from L 33 and those signature dark and futuristic vibes certainly won't disappoint.
In 2013, releasing his track "Discrete" as a part of Andy C Nightlife 6 compilation took him to another level. Getting involved with RAM records helped him putting out his debut single on Andy C's sub imprint - Program. The year 2014 brought him big success after releasing his single Melt/Let Loose on Addictive Behaviour. The tracks are still being supported by some of the biggest names out. The end of the year was exciting for him, after signing his track "Saviour" exclusively on D&B Arena 18 Album.
