Dr.Phunk or also known as Jordy Buijs was born on the 4th of November 1989 in a small Dutch town called Oud Gastel.
As a young kid he was already into music and later on this passion became even bigger. At the age of 19 he decided to make electronic music himself and in August 2009 he signed his first serious recordlabel. This label called ‘Sur+’ was created to give potential youngsters the chance to release their own music.
His first release contained 2 tracks called ‘Asslezz Bitch’ and ’Pump That Shit’. These tracks grew out to serious floorfillers and the dream of this young boy came true. After that he kept coming with new material and he got booked for a serious gig at The Qontinent 2009. There he had the chance to prove himself and to show his love for electronic music. 6 months later he played at one of the biggest harddance events in the world called ‘Reverze’!
His greatest goal will always be to make people happy with his music! So miracles can happen after all?!
