Growing up in the streets of Antwerp City, Dj Uneak got in touch with the urban scene at a young age. Music he would not only listen to but also play with. When he started out as a dj little did he knew he was growing up to be a role model for a younger generation. When he started his career outside of Belgium at Stadtpaleis (Germany), it opened the doors to allow him to grow as an artist. At the same time he started to play at the legendary Who’s Who’s Land in Brussels alongside Dj Sake and DJ Cosmic who later took him into the late Supreme Team.
He soon became a resident at Mondial in Holland, rocking the upstairs room. His talent didn’t go unnoticed and he was moved from the upstairs room to the main room at Mondial where he switches from openings to prime time sets. Meanwhile his name was out there and he rocked parties in places such as Paradisio and Nighttown where the famous Holland Bubble Club concept was held. It didn’t take long before Dj Uneak became a resident in a few German clubs. Prisma and Rush Hour in Dortmund being some of them. Germany was not unknown to him for he was also rocking cities such as Köln, Moers, Schüttorf, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf. Notable concepts/clubs were Nachttheater, Neuschwanstein, PM, Index, Odeon, Rex, Checker’s Club and 3001. Other residencies in Germany where the infamous Booty Nights at the late Exhibition and the newly renamed Rombachs and Le Prestige in Essen. In the Netherlands he was rocking Danssalon as a resident and played regular sets at the E-town parties at Effenaar. Not only was Uneak making a name for him self abroad, his reputation in his own country Belgium was quickly growing. Concepts such as the famous 5 Voor 12 in Ghent or the the RnB Allstars parties at Casino Ghent.
Even in his own city Antwerp the name Dj Uneak became a bit of an icon. He was a part of the resident dj team in the first 2 years of Couleur d’Anvers at club Cinema and played at Diamond Princess & Industria, both statements in the nightlife of Antwerp. On top of that he had several bookings at BBC and Club Royal in Sint Niklaas. Outside of Antwerp everything was going nicely as well with parties at club Da Shake, Kortrijk, some showcases at the TMF Coolsweat events and Tommorow Land (ID&T). And up to this day Dj Uneak is still a resident in club La Rocca, Lier on the Forever Funkyevenings on Friday. Outside of his regular dj bookings he appeared on The 411 on JimTV and was a guest at Radio Multipop, Radio Contact and Fun Radio. His gift to rock a party also enabled him to travel around the world. For 2 years in a row Dj Uneak was a part of the Mondial goes to Turkey events. He played parties in the UK (London), France (Paris, Lille), Luxemburg, Switzerland (Geneva, Luzern), Italy (Rome), Morocco (Tanger) and Turkey (Marmaris).
