DJ Luck-E
15:00 - 16:30 Bling Bling
As a young promising talent, DJ Luck-E made his debut in Spain at 14 years old. Even though he was too young to even enter the club at the time, he turned the crowd to his hand like a real pro. Back in Antwerp it was hard to get gigs at this age, so he decided to promote his own parties to get his name out there. He started the Fresh Mode parties in 1999. And within a couple of months, they became e huge hit. And because of these parties he played in almost every club in Antwerp. Starting with the smaller venues, but growing at such a pace that they had to move to the bigger ones. At that time clubs like Cafe d’Anvers, Red & Blue and Le Beau Zoo, just to name a few. Of course when you rotate in so many clubs, your name rotates among other promoters as well. So soon enough he was booked almost every weekend in Antwerp, but also in The Netherlands and France. And played with DJ’s like DJ Cut Killer (FR), DJ Chuckie (NL) and DJ Kool (US) after party for Busta Rhymes (US) and did festivals like Tomorrowland and Antwerp is Burning.
To broaden his horizon, in 2004, DJ Luck-E moved to the US to explore the Hollywood night scene. Even though it’s hard to start out there as an outsider, it didn’t take long before he had a residency at Le Carré d’As. Who is a promotor who is specialized in red carpet events in and around Hollywood. Which got him gigs in clubs like The Standard, Falcon, Spider club and Avalon. Doing mainly gigs for this promotor, he stayed there for four years. Until he became homesick and decided to move back to Belgium.
Once he got back he started focusing more on productions, but still does the gigs as well. During the summer you can find him in Spain and St Tropez. And today he does the occasional “The Love Below”, Club Publik, Noxx, and Stereo Six.
